For the 2009 annual Point-To-Point at Winterthur Museum and Gardens, more than 30 local artists were asked to paint wooden hobby horses to be auctioned to benefit Museum.  Painting this horse was a real change of pace for me. I surmised (correctly!) most artists would produce fancy designs so as a painter of realism, I decided to paint a very realistic horse. "Miss Teek" is the result.

A huge tent "corral" was set on the Winterthur grounds on race day with "stalls" and hay bales for each horse.
