"Valley Garden Park"

| Valley Garden Park in Wilmington, Delaware is a quarter mile long and
several hundred yards wide, bounded by wooded ridges on either side. Built along a small
brook that cut a deep gully through what was previously a barnyard and pasture, Valley
Garden Park contains many flowering bulbs, shrubs and trees. The brook is dammed at
intervals to create small pools, which are bordered with iris. This favorite walking and picnicking place is about a mile from our home.
